Porsche’s Profit Drops by 91%

29.07.2025 News

Porsche earned only €154 million from its automotive business (excluding financial services) in the last quarter. This marks a nearly 91% drop in profit compared to the same period last year, when the company posted €1.7 billion in earnings. The brand’s revenue fell by approximately 12.9%, totaling just over €8.3 billion, according to BILD.

The report notes that, like several other automakers, Porsche is facing difficulties primarily in China. The company’s leadership, headed by CEO Oliver Blume, recently reported a decline in sales volumes in the Chinese market. The business is also under pressure from high modernization costs and U.S. tariffs. In addition, the gradual transition to electric vehicle production is requiring significant investment.

Porsche plans to cut around 1,900 jobs at its Stuttgart facility by 2029. Further cost-reduction measures are also being developed.
