The American corporation Apple is threatened with a drop in profits from smartphone sales by 25-30% if the company removes the WeChat application from the App Store worldwide.
This statement was made by a well-known expert on the gadget market Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to his forecasts, the WeChat application is used by users in China not only for communication, but also to pay for purchases, travel, and other daily needs.
Currently, it is unknown how Apple will react to the decree of the US State Department to remove WeChat from App Store. If the company removes it from the virtual store, it will become inaccessible to users around the world. This can lead to a drop in sales of phones iPhone by 25-30%, analysts predict.
In this edition MacRumors says that there is an alternative perspective. Apple can remove the WeChat app only from the US App Store. Then the drop in sales will be 3-6%.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo advises not to invest money in companies that fall into the supply chain of Apple. In particular, you should be more careful with investments in LG Innotek and Genius Electronic Optical.
