According to the preliminary information, the official start of the Uber in Ukraine will take place in Kiev in the first quarter of this year and perhaps in Lviv.
As told L?GA.net consultant on site Uberlin (the mediator of the company), a preliminary recruitment of drivers is opened. “Our company has experience with Uber in Russia (through the site Uberlin.ru). The website states that the company is helping with the acquisition of taxi licenses.
According to him, any drivers with a taxi license can be directly connected to the project Uber.com.
It is noteworthy that, Uberlin in Ukraine registered as a single proprietor firm, the consultant says. However, he is not able to tell on what name it is registered. Communications Manager of the Uber, Eugenia Shipova is unable to comment on the issue of cooperation with the Ukrainian partner.
The representative of the Uberlin also said that according to the preliminary information, the official start of the Uber project in Ukraine will take place in the first quarter of this year (February March).
Also, according to his words, Uber may start in other cities with a population of more than 500 000: Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrivsk.
In Uberlin website states that the commission for the drivers who will work with the service, will be 6% (If it will be 40 cab rides per week). In addition, they will need to pay a tax – 5%. Also, they may pay a commission every day at a rate of 10% of orders. There is also a fixed rate – 500 UAH per week.
The website also states that drivers are employed at once for two types of service: budget UberX and premium – UberBlack. However, the consultant of the Uberlin is not sure exactly with what service Uber will start in Ukraine. List of car brands also preliminary.
