Many analysts have been predicting for about a year that Apple will merge and sell its services in packages, and today the news agency Bloomberg, citing anonymous sources, said it would happen in October, at the same time as the release of the new iPhone 12.
Apple shares have responded to rumors of growth, although the company has traditionally not confirmed them and did not comment on news sources.
According to reports, “Apple One” packages will save from $ 2 to $ 5 per month, the probable kits will consist of Apple Music and Apple TV +, as well as the addition of gaming streaming service Apple Arcade, Apple News + (a service with subscriptions from magazines)). The most complete package will include an iCloud subscription with a possible price of $ 45 per month.
According to Bloomberg, this year with the release of the new iOS 14 software for Apple products, the company will offer users different packages depending on what programs and services Apple already uses.
Another optimistic news was the information that Apple is developing a new online fitness service Seymour, which can be used through the app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. This service will be offered in a more expensive set with other Apple services.
Seymour has a great potential, considering that existing similar services are very popular, demand is growing following the trend of “healthy lifestyle” and the transition of people to remote work and sports at home.
Among the companies also selling online training subscriptions is Peloton Interactive Inc. Shares of both companies fell on Thursday after the announcement.
Many experts have rushed to approve such a potential move, comparing “Apple One” with Amazon’s Prime package, which in addition to free fast delivery, includes subscriptions to Prime Video and Prime Music. Amazon charges a monthly subscription fee for Prime membership, encouraging its customers to make more frequent purchases and keeping them in its “ecosystem”.
For Apple, it is also an opportunity to get more subscribers to less popular services like News +, as well as the Apple Care extended warranty service.
