In temporarily occupied Crimea, gas stations have restricted the sale of AI-95 gasoline due to shortages, The Moscow Times reports.

According to local residents, this type of fuel has disappeared from most stations, while at those where it is still available, sales are mostly made using vouchers issued by companies.

The price of AI-95 has also surged sharply: at some stations it has reached 69.95 rubles per liter. Monitoring resources note that the price increase on the occupied peninsula has accelerated since August 7.

For comparison, in Russia’s Krasnodar region, the average price is 65 rubles per liter, while across the country it averages 63 rubles.

The rise in gasoline prices in Russia is linked to fuel shortages caused by regular drone strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian oil refineries.
