In the coming years, under the condition of implementation of reform and modernization of the economy, the influx of foreign investment in Ukraine can be increased two-fold to $ 8 billion, and more. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maksym Nefodov during the the discussion about interim plan of priority actions of the authorities until 2020.
According to the assumptions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the inflow of direct foreign investments on the basis of this year will be equal to the sum of $ 4.5 billion, it is $ 700 million more in comparison with the size of investments, which have been involved in the past in 2016.
“The net inflow of foreign direct investment, we expect to grow from $ 3.8 billion to 4.5 billion in 2017. And we hope that this figure will double by 2020, “- said Nefodov.
According to UNIAN, in accordance with Ministry of Economic Development estimates, the amount of foreign direct investment into the Ukrainian economy amounted to $ 3.8 billion in 2016. This figure is almost twice higher than in 2015.
