Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. This was reported by the company’s press service.
Thurrot writes that this means the date of the “death” of Windows 10. The publication adds that the new generation of operating system, which Microsoft will present next week, will not be called Windows 10, at least, this is expected in terms of marketing or branding. The new OS will be called Windows 11, Windows Sun Valley or some other name not related to the “top ten”.
This is the first time that Microsoft has announced the end date of support for the current operation before the release of a new version. At the same time, this period corresponds to a ten-year cycle of OS updates from Microsoft – support for Windows 10 began on July 29, 2015.
