According to the owner of a startup, the unit will help to put on the feet people, suffering from incurable diseases.
Musk founded the startup Neuralink in 2016, the aim is to create a device that provides a direct link between the computer and the human brain.
The device, which connects directly to the computer and the human brain will give the opportunity to hear sounds outside the range of human hearing. Also with its help a paralyzed people with a torn spinal cord will be able to walk again. The details of new features of Neuralink Musk said in a series of tweets.
Now Neuralink is preparing for a turning point and wants to start testing its brain implants to control electronics in humans. The inventor and owner of Neuralink, Musk, is set to release details in late August.
Musk promotes N1 (codenamed chip) through the regulatory authorities as a medical device, modeled by similar devices. They are usually used for intracranial stimulation or other medical procedures that affect brain function. Musk said that the device can “solve” many problems of the brain, nervous system and psyche, successfully treats everything – from stroke to Alzheimer’s disease, and also made questionable claims that it can eliminate the autism spectrum disorder.
American inventor sees the introduction of the device primarily in the lives of people with disabilities, especially paralyzed patients. Only then the technology can spread to ordinary users.
