The net loss of the German chemical and pharmaceutical concern Bayer AG in the first half of 2020 amounted to 8.059 billion euros against profit a year earlier, according to the company’s reports.
The loss in terms of the share was 8.2 euros versus 1.68 euros in profit a year earlier. Revenues decreased with 0,3% – to 22.899 billion euros.
The company’s net loss for the second quarter amounted to 9.548 billion euros against the profit recorded a year earlier. The loss per share amounted to 9.72 euros against a profit of 0.41 euros last year. Revenues decreased by 6.2% – to 10.054 billion euros. Experts forecast revenue of 12.13 billion euros.
Revenues of the pharmaceutical division Bayer fell by 2.7% over the past six months – to 8.538 billion euros, the division of Consumer Health (over-the-counter drugs) – by 8.4% to 2.599 billion euros.
