Shares of Nvidia, which rose on 109.7% since the beginning of the year, reached a new high record on Monday, as a result, Nvidia’s capitalization market for the first time exceeded $ 300 billion, it is significantly higher than the estimated market of Intel in $ 210 billion.
Wall Street experts said that Nvidia was one of the main beneficiaries of the pandemic conditions, as the demand of graphics processors for computers, data centers and video games grew due to an isolation of people at home.
On the eve of the quarterly report, which is expected on Wednesday after the close of trading, seven investment companies immediately raised their target prices for Nvidia shares.
Analysts predict that revenues from sales of Nvidia’s data center segment in the second quarter will for the first time exceed revenues from the largest gaming segment of graphics processors. According to analysts’ expectations, sales of Datacenter will amount to $ 1.72 billion., while sales of gaming segment will amount to $ 1.4 billion.
For comparison, in the first quarter, the Nvidia gaming segment showed an increase from 25% to $ 1.34 billion, and Datacenter segment rose by a whopping 80% (compared to last year) for the first time exceeded $ 1 billion and reaching $ 1.14 billion.
Partly, the high expectations are due to the fact that in the second quarter for the first time will be recorded sales of new high-performance server processors NVIDIA Ampere A100 with the new architecture of the GPU.
Nvidia said that expects to receive the total revenue in the second fin. quarters, ranged from $ 3.58 billion to $ 3.72 billion, the average forecast, according to 32 analysts, is $ 3.65 billion in revenue and $ 1.98 earnings per share.
