The European regulator on personal data protection has sent a preliminary order to American Facebook to stop the transfer of data of its users in the United States, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the situation.

The newspaper notes that Facebook will probably have to reorganize its service or temporarily suspend service to European users.
