The US stock market came out in the plus on Monday, сontinuing to rise in the previous two sessions, while the S & P 500 and Nasdaq updated a high record due to the investor`s optimism about the prospects of treatment of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
The news that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has officially authorized the use of plasma, taken from recovered coronavirus people for the treatment of infected patients which has helped to improve the sentiment. At the same time, the head of FDA, Stephen Hahn, noted that this decision has not yet received full approval and is still evaluating the effectiveness of this method.
In addition, the Financial Times reported that US President Donald Trump may instruct for FDA to approve an experimental vaccine developed by AstraZeneca Plc and Oxford University, before the November election. ADR AstraZeneca quotes in New York rose to 1.9%, even though the company denies negotiations with the US government.
“Any positive news about the virus will help grow the market,” said Principal Global Investors chief strategist Sima Sha. However, experts warn that such news should be treated with skepticism, given the lengthy process of approval of the vaccine for widespread use.

Capitalization of Apple Inc. rose by 1.2% due to an increase in the target share price of Morgan Stanley analysts.
Deere & Co. shares rose by 3% due to an increase in their rating by Bank of America analysts after the publication of the company’s financial report last Friday.
Index of Dow Jones Industrial Average trading results rose by 378.13 points (1.35%) – up to 28,308.46 points, surpassing the mark of 28,000 points for the first time in the last six months. The value of the index remains only 4.2% below the record closing high, set on February 12.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 added 34.12 points (1%) and reached a record 3431.28 points, closing near a new session record.
The Nasdaq Composite rose by 67.92 points (0.60%) to a record of 11,379.72 points. During the auctions the index rose to a historic high at 11,462.05 points.
