At a meeting of the Joint Commission on International Road Transport Union, Ukraine and Poland agreed to allocate 5,000 additional permits for Ukrainian carriers for 2020. Vladyslav Kryklii, the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure announced it on Friday, November 20 on his Facebook page.
“Our carriers will receive the first permits in early December. Additional permits are valid until January 31, 2021,” he stated.
According to the agreements, Poland will allocate 1,500 universal and 3,500 additional transit permits.
“We also managed to prevent a decrease in the number of permits: a preliminary exchange of permits for 2021 will be carried out in the amount of 160 thousand,” said Krykliy.
The parties agreed to return to the issue of increasing the number of permits for next year in the second half of 2021 based on the results of the analysis of the conditions of border crossing by carriers.
