On Monday, November 9, Pfizer CEO Albert Burla sold 62% of his shares in the pharmaceutical company. This was reported by Markers Insider, citing documents from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). On the same day, Pfizer and BioNTech announced that their experimental COVID-19 vaccine had been successfully tested.
Albert Burla sold 132,508 shares of Pfizer at an average price of $ 41.94 per share. This price is close to the maximum for the year – for the last 52 weeks the shares were not worth more than $ 41.99. As a result, the CEO earned $ 5.6 million.
According to the documents provided to the SEC, the deal was scheduled for August 19 in accordance with US laws on insider trading. Burla now owns 81,812 shares of Pfizer.
On November 9, Pfizer shares currently grew by more than 15% to $ 41.99. At the close of trading on November 10, the shares were worth $ 38.68.
