Since the beginning of the year, Kyiv has collected a record 34.8 million UAH in tourist tax, which is 65% more than in the same period of 2024, according to the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Tourism and Promotion.
“2024–2025 marked the beginning of the recovery of Kyiv’s tourism sector. Last year, the capital’s revenues from the tourist tax amounted to 50.83 million UAH, significantly exceeding previous years’ figures. In 2022, the tourist tax totaled 38.8 million UAH, and in 2023 — 38.5 million UAH,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, figures for the first two quarters of 2025 reached 34.8 million UAH, nearly 65% more than in the same period of 2024, when tourist tax revenues stood at 22.6 million UAH.
The Department emphasized that today the tourism industry continues to support the economy and provides revenues directed toward urgent city needs under martial law.
“The positive statistics we have received are a signal to move forward, build new partnerships, and invest efforts in a victorious future for our country, with tourism playing a powerful role in economic growth,” the statement added.
