The press service of the Ministry of Finance announced this on Wednesday, February 3, citing a relevant government decree.
According to the document, suspended or unfinished inspections started before the moratorium will be resumed.
Investigations of entrepreneurs who, according to the analytical system, carry out risky operations and those who are being processed by the Temporary Investigation Commission of the Verkhovna Rada to investigate the facts of possible corrupt actions of officials published in the media will also resume.
Documentary checks on compliance with the deadlines for receipt of goods for import transactions and/or foreign exchange earnings for export transactions returned.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed unscheduled documentary inspections, the need for which arose because of complaints about the actions or inaction of regulatory authorities regarding the illegal accrual of taxpayers’ monetary obligations.
The press release also clarifies that the resumption of tax audits will not affect individual entrepreneurs: the moratorium on them continues in force.
“Every day the lack of control over the payment of taxes by the state is becoming more destructive not only for the budget but also for businesses that work honestly,” – commented Deputy Finance Minister Svetlana Vorobey partial resumption of tax audits.
