According to Bloomberg, citing documents submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the short-term rental service Airbnb plans to raise $ 2.6 billion in listing in the US and receive an estimate of $ 35 billion.
If the company manages to raise $ 2.6 billion, Airbnb’s placement will be the fourth largest IPO in the US market this year.
The price range for Airbnb shares during the listing will be $ 44-50 per share. The company will receive a valuation of $ 35 billion if it sells shares at the upper limit of this range. In total, Airbnb intends to sell 54 million securities.
The Airbnb listing is expected to take place in December. Initially, the company was preparing an IPO for March 2020, but the pandemic violated these plans. Due to quarantine, the number of home bookings fell by 90%, and the service had to lay off 25% of employees.
