Ukraine Authorizes Forced Seizure of Russian Property

The Verkhovna Rada has approved a presidential decree on the compulsory seizure in Ukraine of property owned by the Russian Federation, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko from the European Solidarity faction announced on his Telegram channel.

“The Rada approved the president’s decree on the seizure of 1,592 railway cars belonging to Russian residents,” the lawmaker wrote.

Bill No. 13442, which endorses the presidential decree on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated July 2, 2025, regarding the forced seizure of property of the Russian Federation and its residents in Ukraine, was supported in full by 263 MPs during a parliamentary session, Honcharenko added.
