Ukraine Exports Combat Drones to the United States

06.07.2026 News

Ukraine’s State Service for Export Control has approved the delivery of a batch of F10 strike unmanned aerial systems (UAS), developed by the Ukrainian company F-Drones, to the United States. According to Deep State, this marks the first documented case in the history of U.S.-Ukraine relations in which Ukraine has authorized the export of fully assembled combat robotic systems—rather than individual components, circuit boards, or technological solutions—for use by the U.S. military.

The agreement is part of the Pentagon’s large-scale Drone Dominance program.

The Ukrainian drone entered the U.S. market only after undergoing rigorous testing. In February 2026, the developer’s interests in the United States were represented by its partner UDD Tech Corp., which submitted the F10 system for the first stage of the Gauntlet I qualification trials held at Fort Benning, Georgia.

The Ukrainian system demonstrated strong tactical and technical performance during the competition:

  • The F10 ranked 6th out of 25 American and international participants.
  • It was selected as one of 11 winning unmanned systems that passed the final qualification stage.

Following the competition, the manufacturer signed a firm contract to produce and deliver 2,000 drones to the U.S. Department of Defense.

F-Drones has also been officially invited to participate in the next phase of the program’s technological evaluations.

In a comment to Interfax-Ukraine, F-Drones CEO Stas Khutir emphasized that opening an export market is a critically important step for Ukraine’s defense industry. According to him, international trade is a key driver of business capitalization, foreign investment, higher domestic quality standards, and deeper integration into the global defense industrial ecosystem.

Khutir also stressed that exporting drones to the United States will not reduce supplies of similar systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating on the front lines. On the contrary, stronger financial positions resulting from foreign contracts will enable defense manufacturers to expand production capacity and provide the Ukrainian military with even more advanced solutions in the future.
