The other day, was held a working meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Environment and Water of the United Arab Emirates.
UAE experts arrived in Ukraine for the inspection of domestic enterprises producing poultry and beef. As a result of the visit the parties are expected to make progress in the harmonization of veterinary certificate for export of beef from Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates.
The representatives of the United Arab Emirates have expressed an interest in cooperation with the Ukrainian agricultural enterprises, in import from Ukraine live sheep and lamb meat. They also tentatively agreed with the proposal of the Ukrainian side to recognize and give permission to export to their country of animal products to all Ukrainian companies that are authorized to export to the EU. It is, first of all, can relate to the export of poultry meat and dairy products.
Also, the representatives of the United Arab Emirates have expressed an interest in importing from Ukraine other agricultural products, such as sunflower oil and wheat.
Summing up the meeting, First Deputy Minister Jaroslaw Krasnopolskiy noted that Ukraine is interested in expanding markets for domestic agricultural products in the UAE.
“We are committed to the most productive work with the competent services of the United Arab Emirates, to all matters relating to the export of Ukrainian products in the country, were solved quickly, in the interests of Ukrainian producers and consumers of the United Arab Emirates,” – said the first deputy chairman of the State consumer service Volodymyr Lapa .
