Volkswagen AG, probably close to an agreement with the California regulator, who previously rejected a proposal by the German automaker recall cars in the framework of the settlement of the consequences of “diesel scandal”.
Mary Nichols, head of the California Air Resources Board Protection (California Air Resources Board, CARB) said that the negotiations with Volkswagen about eliminate violations in cars “are going good” and the carmaker has become “more open” than before.

In late June of this year, Volkswagen has agreed with US regulators, as well as with car owners, the terms of settlement of various claims under the “diesel scandal”, which involves the payment of a total of more than $ 15 billion.
Under the agreement, the Volkswagen cars should be redeem or disturbances in them should be eliminate, depending on which option will choose the owner of the car. Moreover, all the customers will receive monetary compensation from Volkswagen, which range from $ 5100 to $ 10 thousand.
Volkswagen, for the next three years, will allocate $ 2.7 billion to fund the elimination of the environmental impacts, which had happened because the automaker has changed real indicators of emissions, the fund manager will be appointed by the court.
