“Ukrnafta” won a court to return the licenses for the three production fields, suspended in January 2016.
District Administrative Court of Kyiv canceled an order of the State service of geology and mineral resources of Ukraine about the suspension of special permits of the “Ukrnatfa” PJSC from January 26, 2016. It was reported by the press service of the State Service of Geology and mineral resources of Ukraine .
The State service of geology and mineral resources of Ukraine believes that the decision of the court opposes the implementation of its direct service roles and responsibilities.
“If the company has a debt to pay rent for the mineral resources in the state budget and does not repay within six months, the State service of geology and mineral resources of Ukraine obliged with the submit of the State Fiscal Service to stop the action of special permits for the use of subsurface resources”, – explained the Acting Chairman of the State Service of Geology and s mineral resources of Ukraine, Mykola Boyarkin.
In particular, the State Fiscal Service has submitted information on the three production fields of the “Ukrnafta” in December 2015. January 26, 2016 by the Order № 16 the State Service of Geology and mineral resources of Ukraine suspended the relevant special permission of the “Ukrnafta” – on Golubovskyi (Dnipropetrivsk region), Jurievskyi (Dnipropetrivsk region) and Lopushnyanskyi (Chernihiv region) fields.
The State service of geology and mineral resources of Ukraine called the actions of the “Ukrnafta” as evasion of the rent.
“Failure to pay to the budget for more than 10 billion UAH (the total tax payable of the “Ukrnafta”on all deposits – Ed.). It turns out, the court decided that the state does not need the money?” – interested Boyarkin.
It will be recalled, that in January the State service of geology and mineral resources of Ukraine suspended the three of the 94 special permits of the “Ukrnafta”. After that, the company appealed to the Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk to revoke the decision. Management insisted that the company pays in time the current tax obligations, but cannot pay the entire tax debt without harm for operating activities.
In March 2016 the State service of geology and mineral resources of Ukraine also announced the suspension of another 16 special permits for the “Ukrnafta” for similar reasons – debt on rent payments.
