US companies plan to reduce the office space

More than the half of the American companies plan to reduce their office space because of the remote work will become a common option even after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was reported by the Bloomberg, citing to the study by Cisco Systems. Agency interviewed 1,569 business leaders, employees of companies responsible for the organization of labor, as well as employees of the intellectual labor.

53% of the companies surveyed intend to reduce office space, and about 75% of companies will introduce more flexible work schedule. 90% of employees surveyed said they did not plan to return to the full-time employment in the office. 12% plan to work from home all the time, 24% – to work remotely on average more than 15 days a month, and 22% – work remotely for 8-15 days a month. Therefore, the results of the study, according to the authors, suggest that companies view remote work from home as a “new reality” even after the pandemic.
