The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (ACU) instituted a proceeding against JSC “Ukrtatnafta” for submitting the committee with incomplete information.
As the press service of the AMC said, the committee is investigating part of case instituted on the grounds of violations of the legislation on the Protection of Economic Competition by the companies “Ukrtatnafta” JSC, “SPC-Galicia”, LLC “Galnafta”, “TD Prikarpatenaftotreyd”, “Kotlas”, “Poligonal” “Garant-UTN” in the form of anticompetitive concerted actions concerning the distortion of the results of auctions for the sale of crude oil and gas condensate.
In order to gather evidence the committee has repeatedly sent several requests to “Ukrtatnafta” JSC.
“Unfortunately, the company fell back on actions that create obstacles in the investigation, in particular, the Antimonopoly Committee has submitted incomplete information. In this regard the AMC instituted a proceeding“, – the report says.
“Ukrnafta” JSC is the main seller of Ukrainian oil, 50% + 1 share of the company is owned by “Naftogaz Ukraine”, about 42% of the shares are owned by the group of companies related to the shareholders of Privatbank.
The AMCU suspected these companies of violating the n. 4 h. 2 article 6 and n. 1, art. 50 of the Law “On Protection of Economic Competition”.
In turn, the company, according to the AMCU, fell back on actions that create obstacles in the investigation.
It will be recalled that in May last year Yatsenyuk told the new leadership of the Antimonopoly Committee to “break” cartels and monopolies in the energy market.
