The opening of the plant of the Fujikura company in Ukraine should be a strong signal to all investors willing to believe in our country. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko wrote about this in his Twitter after the opening of the new plant of Fujikura in village Pidryasne near Lviv.
“You will not find such a highly qualified workforce, except in Ukraine. We have to use this potential to attract investments”, – said the President.
He also noted, that the investments of the Fujikura company will create hundreds of jobs for the Lviv region. And the latest Japanese technology will allow to use the Ukrainian coal on power generation plants, including coal extracted in Lviv.
The plant will produce a cable network for leading European automotive manufacturers, according to Japanese quality standards.
The Fujikura Ltd. Japanese company was founded in 1910 in Tokyo, the company is a world leading manufacturer of devices for welding of optical fibers, and equipment for installation, that Fujikura provides to the telecommunication companies worldwide.
Total number of employees worldwide is 52,409 people.
“Fujikura Automotive Ukraine – Lviv” Ltd was founded in November, 2013 for the realization of the investment projects in Ukraine focused on the production of automotive components. The main business is the manufacture of cable networks for leading European automotive manufacturers in accordance with the Japanese quality standards.
The total amount of foreign investments in the first stage is 87 mln. UAH. It includes the construction of the industrial complex with the area of 7000 square meters, and the office building area of 1800 square meters. Over the next two months is planned the expansion of production space to 11,500 square meters and employment of 3,000 workers.
