In July-September 2020, Ukrainian banks closed 251of the structural subdivisions, reducing the regional network to 7329 branches by October 1. This is stated in the data of the National Bank.
Most branches in the third quarter were closed by the state Oschadbank – 166, reducing its total number to 1931. During the same period, the nationalized Privatbank closed 83 branches, reducing its total number to 1750, TAScombank – 11 (up to 87), Kredobank – five (up to 83).
At the same time, in July-September this year, the state-owned Ukrgasbank opened 21 branches, expanding its regional network to 269 branches, A-Bank opened five more branches (up to 235) and three each – Megabank (up to 153) and Ibox Bank (up to 42).
As of October 1, Oschadbank remains the leader in the number of branches – 1931, the second place is taken by Privatbank – 1750, third – Raiffeisen Bank Aval – 456, fourth – Ukrsibbank – 278, fifth – Ukrgasbank – 269.
