President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko has signed the law on the abolition of compulsory registration of foreign investments, which took the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 31 May. This report announced on the website of the President of Ukraine.
The law abolishes certain articles of the statutes of the Economic Code of Ukraine and the Law «On Foreign Investment». This article refers to mandatory state registration of foreign investments.
«Now instead of registration will be necessary statistical reports about how much accomplished investments. These changes will bring the Ukrainian legislation to EU standards, and simplify the rules attracting foreign investment and contribute to economic recovery», – said in a statement.
Very soon the office, which will be accompanied by investments will be in Ukraine. Vladimir Groisman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, spoke about the fact that American businessmen could soon buy the Odessa port plant.
Groisman believes that Ukraine has a great potential to attract investment into the Ukrainian economy, and the same great opportunities to improve their capabilities in international trade. Ukrainian Prime Minister also said that the Americans are actively interested in Ukraine and our country did not use all its possibilities to attract foreign investment.
