The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development intends to provide the “Astarta” agro-holding a loan of $ 20 million. The money will be spent for modernization of sugar factories.
This was said in the message of the bank.
According to the report, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is considering the possibility to give to “Astarta” long-term credit to finance energy efficiency projects and upgrades to existing sugar factories of agricultural holding in order to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development intends to consider the allocation of funds on 22 June of the current year.
As previously reported, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) intends to allocate to “Astarta” credit up to $ 25 million.
The “Astarta” Agro Holding unites 5 regional divisions: “Poltavazernoprodukt”, LLC, “Agrofirma Dovzhenko”, LLC , “Dobrobut”, LLC (all – Poltava region), “Khmelnytsky”, LLC (Vinnytsia region) and “Volochisk-Agro”, LLC (Khmelnytsky region).
The main activities of the holding are the production of sugar, as well as the growing and selling of grain and oilseeds, meat and milk production.
