Lviv Bus Plant (LAZ) won the case from the communal enterprise Kyivpastrans in payment for delivering to the communal enterprise trolleybuses for over 118 million UAH in 2012.
On March 16, the Kiev Commercial Court ordered the Kievprastrans to pay Lviv Bus Plant (LAZ) Ltd. more than 118 million UAH for the delivered trolley buses, according to the press release of the management company City Transport Group.
According to the Head of Legal Department of the City Transportation Group Andriy Matviyevskyi, by agreement with Kyivpastrans, dated May 21, 2012, the plant delivered to the communal enterprise 17 trolley buses LAZ E-301.
It is reported that, according to paragraphs 7 and 10 of the distribution of funds to finance capital expenditure program of socioeconomic development of Kyiv in 2012, Kiev State Administration received targeted funding from the state budget for the purchase of trolley buses, but they used the money for other purposes and didn’t pay for the delivered trolley buses.
“Kyivpastrans had sufficient resources for timely settlement with LAZ LLC” – summed up Matvievskyi.
Lviv Bus Plant, LLC is a company specializing in the production of urban, suburban and tourist buses of various types and modifications, as well as trolley buses. The maximum production capacity is up to 1.5 thousand vehicles per year. To date, the average cost of 12 meters of the trolley is 3.5 million UAH and 18-meters – 6 million UAH. Buses’ cost varies from 1.5 million UAH to 5.5 million UAH.
