Rambler & Co buys 50% shares of the UCS

Rambler & Co buys  50% shares  of the UCSRambler buys  part of the  software development company UCS. The amount of the agreement at the moment were not disclosed.

UCS is the owner or service that controls cafes and hotels, and theater ticket  reservation system. The acquisition will make Rambler the first Internet company with applications for business and entertainment in b2b and b2c format.

The representatives of Rambler company reported that after the closing of the purchase of the UCS, its services will be united with Internet services company. As planned, the control system will be integrated with the dining section in Rambler “Afisha. Restaurants ”, the  program with tickets for the theater with “Rambler. Cashier “, the system for managing hotels will be integrated into “Rambler. Travels”. According to the company, this purchase is a good investment for the company. The innovative service that will be created by combining technology has a great potential. At the moment There is no information about how exactly company plans to combine services, but plans for all projects will be announced in 2016.

The management of UCS said in an interview that Rambler was not the only one  potential buyer of the company.  UCS decided to choose Rambler as a partner just because they see the greatest potential in the development of Internet services.

Company UCS  is a leading developer of automated services and applications on the market since 1992. Its sales for 2014 amounted to approximately 309 million rubles. Holding Rambler & Co earned in 2014 1.3 billion  rubles.

By joining forces, the companies hope to attract more  users, with the help of the latest services, and to increase revenues.
