As informs investment media of Ukraine InVenture, the European Commission, which is an organ of the executive branch of the European Union and is responsible for the preparation of draft laws, should provide Ukraine € 100 million if the Verkhovna Rada will take on the Energy Efficiency Fund bill.
Conditions for EU investment funds in Ukraine Maroš Šefčovič (Vice-President of the European Commission for Energy Union) discussed in the telephone conversation with the Head of Government Volodymyr Hroisman, and as a result of which all the specified requirements were published by press office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The European Commission hopes that Ukraine will take the necessary laws to obtain this amount of money, namely the Law on Energy Efficiency Fund (which will increase the power of nuclear and hydropower), the law on the electricity market, and utilities.
Maroš Šefčovič stressed that the active actions of the authorities for a rapid reform of the Ukrainian energy sector will be proactively supported by the European Union.
