On Wednesday, March 17, the Antimonopoly Committee decided to fine the distributor of tobacco products Tedis Ukraine 274.2 million hryvnias, the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine reports.

The reason for this decision was the company’s failure to fully implement the decision of the committee from 2016 (paragraph 4 of Article 50 of the Law on Protection of Economic Competition).

The AMCU reminded that on December 16, 2016, the decision №551-r was made, according to which from 2013 to September 2015 (inclusive) Tedis Ukraine held a monopoly position in the cigarette distribution market and violated the legislation on protection of economic competition in the form of abuse monopoly position.
