Investment attractiveness of the tourism industry in Ukraine has great potential. About this in an exclusive interview for LDaily, the full version of which will be released later, said the general manager of the hotel InterContinental Kiev Jean Baptiste Pigeon.
“I can say with confidence that the investment opportunities in the hotel and tourism industry in Ukraine are at a high level. Investors will necessarily come into the country, but you need to wait a little longer and a lot to do, “- shared Jean Baptiste Pigeon.
According to him, first of all, in Ukraine it is necessary to establish a dialogue between government and business. At this stage of development of Ukraine, each of them can not hear each other.
“The State and the business are to establish a common understanding of the tourism industry in Ukraine, everyone should express their opinion and be heard. And, of course, understand the capabilities of the industry, its potential, which simply has not the limit “- said Jean Baptiste.
With an active dialogue between the state and business the development of tourist direction will go up, which will involve investments and increase the country’s income to the treasury. Inter Continental Kiev General Manager as an example called France, in which tourism brings to the state budget of the order of 10-14% of the revenue of the total GDP.
