In the National Council of Ukraine on January 5, 2017 it was a briefing, the participants of which were the chairmen of the regulatory body and in result of which special commissioners of tv chanel got the right to broadcast, according to the source Media Detector.
According to Uliana Feshchuk – a deputy head National Council , license form was issued to TV channel ahead of schedule (which was to occur on January 6) in order to prevent aggravation of social discontent and stress relieving journalists about this issue. She also noted that the National Council has always supported freedom of speech and the continued right of citizens to receive information. This is due to such a step.
Prolonged license entitles broadcasting standard 17 hours a day on the former network of UT-2.
In turn, the National Council is waiting for a TV channel to seeking a report on December 30, 2016 th year on the documents to confirm that there were no changes regarding the final owners. In response, the channel has confirmed that all the requests were sent to the final directors of the channel.
The chairman of the National Council Yurii Artemenko demonstrated a form of signed license 1 + 1, in which the owners of the channel provided according to 1 + 1 ownership structure are Ihor Kolomoiskyi together with Ihor Surkis.
Later on the page Facebook 1 + 1 Media Oleksander Tkachenko, General Director, it was reported that the above situation has demonstrated a dual system of standards and political pressure on the TV channel from the authorities. The head said that the events of Privat Bank have nothing to do with the media business, and Kolomoiskyi person should not be a subject to constant harassment.
