German defense contractor Rheinmetall will play a key role in the digital transformation of the British Army’s collective combat training system, with the company’s share of the contract valued at just under €1 billion, according to a company statement.
“Rheinmetall Electronics UK will play a key role as a member of Omnia Training, the consortium selected to deliver the Army Collective Training System (ACTS) as part of the British Army’s Collective Training Transformation Programme,” the company said.
The consortium is led by Raytheon UK, with Rheinmetall serving as the land forces collective training partner, supporting the development and delivery of key elements of the program.
Rheinmetall’s share of the contract is valued at just under €1 billion. The project is scheduled to commence in the summer of 2026, and the service contract will run for 15 years.
Under the program, the Omnia Training consortium and its partners will be responsible for integrating and deploying advanced battle simulation technologies that combine live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training environments.
Rheinmetall will also participate in managing the physical training infrastructure, system configuration, and the logistical support required for the British Army’s collective combat training.
