In April, the profit of Ukrainian banks amounted to 6.6 billion hryvnias, and for the four months of 2021 – 17.538 billion hryvnias. NBU data from Friday, May 21 testify to it.
The total income of banks in January-April reached 80.103 billion hryvnias, expenses – 62.565 billion hryvnias.
At the same time, interest income amounts to UAH 51.421 billion, expenses – UAH 16.913 billion, commission income – UAH 26.858 billion, commission expenses – UAH 10.029 billion.
In January-March, banks received UAH 10.9 billion in net profit, which is 32% less than in the same period last year, when the banking sector earned more than 16 billion. The main factor holding back the growth of the sector’s profitability in the first quarter value of securities.
