Ukraine has acceded to the Protocol about record of revisions to European agreement for international highway carriage of dangerous materials. It is reported by UKRINFORM.
234 national deputies supported the adoption of the bill. As noted during the presentation of the document in Verkhovna Rada Anastasiia Deeva (Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs), Ukraine acceded to the said European Agreement earlier in 2000, and the adoption of amendments to the Protocol of Accession will bring national laws into conformity with European Union legislation in the field of transportation of dangerous goods.
In particular, Ukraine’s legal provisions in the field of transport of dangerous goods will be adapted to the provisions of Directive 2008/68 / EU, providing for the need for security in the transport of dangerous goods, including on the interaction of various modes of transport, providing the possibility of establishing special safety requirements of national and international transport dangerous goods within the territory of Ukraine.
Dangerous goods – is a load that in a result of an accident is likely to harm the health or life of people and (or) environment.
