Technical failure occurred on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, due to which the trading was suspended. This is stated in the statement by Japan Exchange Group, which owns the exchange.
“Trading of all shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange has been suspended due to the failures related to the delivery of the market information, ” – said the trading platform.
It is specified that the auction stopped at 23.35 GMT (02.35 Kyiv time). In this regard the Nikkei 225 and Topix could not start the trading. It also affected the trade on the other stock exchanges in Japan (Sapporo and Nagoya).
It is noted that the particular failure started since 2018, when across to the problems with the trading system working with the securities could not place the orders.
The timing of the resumption of the operations has not yet been announced.
