National Aviation Service will implement a project – Twinning, which provides technical and financial assistance of the EU, with the aim to bring Ukrainian aviation standards to the European ones. This was told by Alexander Bilchuk, chairman of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine.
“The signing of the working agreement between the State Aviation Service and the European Aviation Safety Agency on the approximation of the certification systems, as well as our commitment to the international organizations, in which Ukraine is a member, require that we comply with international standards. We have achieved considerable success in accelerating the regulation with European standards in the field of airworthiness, and we are ready to work actively for ensure that standards in the field of airports and airfields are also shall become one of the best consistent with the world practices.” – said Alexander Bilchuk.
Technical assistance is designed for 21 months and implemented by specialists of the State Agency of Spain by Aviation Security (AESA). The project budget is € 1.6 million.
Recall, for the first six months of 2016 passenger traffic airports in Ukraine grew by 13.1%, compared to the same period of 2015 and amounted to 5.326 million people.
