The German Siemens AG corporation reported about the acquisition of the American producer Mentor Graphics. The transaction is estimated at $4,5 billion: the price of one share constitutes $37,25. Mentor Graphics main activities are: designing of cable systems, printed circuit boards, functional verification, development of the built-in software etc. The company merger is directed, first of all, to an implementation of the commercial Siemens project – Vision 2020. The German company is interested in technical developments and a possibility of high-quality engineering maintenance receipts from the future partner. Let’s remind that the initial price of Mentor Graphics one share within the first round of the biddings, constituted fewer than $30.
