In the retail market development in Ukraine and the world retail market there is radical alterity. While the latter is actively developing, Ukrainian began to show some improvements only in 2016. On the prospects of the global sector and the domestic situation shed light Ukrainian company Deloitte, which provides audit areas, tax, consulting and corporate finance.<\/p>\n
According to the analysis, which was carried out by Deloitte, revenues of 250 largest retailers in the world in the 2015 fiscal year in the aggregate increased by 5.2%, having held on to $ 4.31 trillion.<\/p>\n
The most attractive segment continues to be the implementation of consumer goods. Food Network leads by a considerable margin both in terms of revenue and in number.<\/p>\n
Leaders in the ranking of the largest retailers are American companies – 6 of the 10 has the United States residence.<\/p>\n
The retail trade world’s largest network has been not the first year in a row the American giant retailer Wal-Mart. The company operates in 30 countries of the world and at the end of its 2015 fiscal year profit was equal to $ 482.130 million.<\/p>\n
For the first time in the ten largest retailers entered the Amazon online store. And, on the contrary, fell from the ranking top 10 German chain Metro Group, whose stores are also represented on the Ukrainian space. In the list there is no any company from Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n
Regarding Ukraine, domestic retailers have not been put in a top 250 list of the world’s largest retail chains.<\/p>\n

But the purchasing power of consumers in Ukraine is still low, especially against the background of the western countries. That is why in the high-tech solutions retailers are reluctant to invest in Ukraine. Still, global trends are also reflected in our country, although to a much lesser degree and with some delay.
