In May Ukraine produced 2.3 million tons of the steel. This figure is to 5.7% higher than was in the same period in 2015. This is confirmed by the monthly data of the international organization World Steel Association.\u00a0It is a non-profit organisation with its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium and a second office in Beijing, China, whose purpose is to promote steel and the steel industry to customers, the industry, media and the general public<\/p>\n

In general, in May of the 2016, 66 countries produced 139 million tons of steel, what is less for 0.1% than last year.<\/p>\n

Remember, that production of steel in Ukraine increased by 11.5% in April 2016, in May –\u00a0decreased by 1%.<\/p>\n

  1. China – 70\u00a0504 thousand tons (+ 1.8% compared with May 2015).<\/li>\n
  2. Japan – 8841 (-0.9%).<\/li>\n
  3. India – 8\u00a0044 (+ 4.9%).<\/li>\n
  4. United States – 6\u00a0820 (-0.4%).<\/li>\n
  5. Russia – 5952 (+ 0.4%).<\/li>\n
  6. South Korea – 5807 (-3.5%).<\/li>\n
  7. Germany – 3858 (+ 4.0%).<\/li>\n
  8. Turkey – 3041 (+ 5.4%).<\/li>\n
  9. Brazil – 2\u00a0590 (-13.2%).<\/li>\n
  10. Ukraine – 2\u00a0297 (+ 5.7%).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As a result, Ukraine has retained 10th place in the ranking of world steel producers.<\/p>\n
