{"id":18328,"date":"2016-01-22T17:57:46","date_gmt":"2016-01-22T14:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.ldaily.ua\/?p=18328"},"modified":"2016-01-22T17:57:46","modified_gmt":"2016-01-22T14:57:46","slug":"the-kernel-agricultural-holding-has-increased-its-sales-by-oil-refining-at-third-party-plants","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/novosti\/the-kernel-agricultural-holding-has-increased-its-sales-by-oil-refining-at-third-party-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"The Kernel agricultural holding has increased its sales by oil refining at third-party plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-18330 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/67195601-308x200.jpg\" alt=\"The Kernel agricultural holding  has increased its sales by oil refining at third-party plants\" width=\"308\" height=\"200\" title=\"\"><em>The largest producer of oil Kernel increased its sales of sunflower oil for 7%, grain \u2013 felled\u00a0 by 6% in the II quarter of the 2016 fiscal year.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Kernel, one of the largest Ukrainian agricultural groups, in the second quarter of fiscal year 2016, which began in July 2015, reduced its grain sales by 6% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year &#8211; up to 1.323 million tons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As reported in the company&#8217;s report, posted on the website of the Warsaw Stock Exchange on Wednesday, selling of bulk oil in October-December 2015 increased by 7% &#8211; to 297.05 thous. tons, while sales of bottled sunflower decreased by 9% &#8211; to 31.036 thousand tons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During this period the holding company processed 915.4 thous. tons of sunflower seeds, which is 31% more than in the second quarter of the 2015 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the document, transshipment of \u00a0in export group terminals increased by 18% &#8211; to 1.695 million tons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kernel explains that the increase in sales took place due to a record amount of sunflower seed processing, which in its turn has increased because of the additional use of third-party plants for processing of an abundant harvest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Handling of grain at export group terminals has increased to record levels due to the increased bandwidth of Transbulkterminal (Ilyichevsk).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kernel in a fiscal year 2015 increased grain sales by 12% compared to the previous FY &#8211; to a record 4.744 million tons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team finished a fiscal year 2015 (July 2014-June-2015) with a net profit of $ 106.9 million against a net loss of $ 98.3 million in FY 2014. Its revenues declined by 3% &#8211; to $ 2.33 billion, while its EBITDA increased by 78% &#8211; to $ 396.6 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Kernel is a vertically integrated company operating in the agricultural sector in Ukraine since 1994. It produces sunflower oil.
