Four former heads of Wilmington Trust Corp. &#8211; David Gibson, Robert VA Harrah, William North and Kevin Rakowski are accused of fraud.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professor of the Delaware University &#8211; Charles Elson said that it would be unusual criminal proceeding , as the management of such companies and large financial institutions\u00a0 are rarely held criminally liable \u00a0on such a scale. In 2008, the bank received $ 330 million in its funds, it was one of the first attempts of the federal government to resolve the mortgage crisis. According to prosecutors, the bank was obliged to notify its shareholders about important financial indicators, which would enable investors to make informed decisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The accused officials have denied their guilt and promise to fight for their rights in court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bank of Wilmington Trust Corp. was founded in 1903 by the family of DuPont and the principal office of the bank \u00a0is located in Wilmington.
