This forecast is contained in the National Bank of Ukraine’s inflation report.

According to the NBU, following the blockade of traditional routes, Ukraine has once again been forced to redirect cargo to railways, road transport and Danube ports. However, their capacity is insufficient to maintain previous export volumes.

Previously, the country exported 4–4.5 million tonnes of agricultural products each month, while alternative routes currently have the capacity to handle around 2.5 million tonnes.

The situation is expected to be particularly difficult from August to October. Drought has reduced water levels in the Danube, further limiting transportation. At the same time, the NBU expects export volumes to gradually increase starting in November.

The restructuring of logistics will also increase transportation and storage costs for the agricultural sector. Nevertheless, the National Bank forecasts that the volumes that could not be exported will be shipped during the first half of 2027.

“The situation remains more manageable than during the 2022 blockade,” the NBU said, emphasizing the development of alternative routes and the experience gained by Ukrainian farmers.

[9
["post-152040","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","newscat-novosti
["GET
