According to the State Customs Service, the country imported goods worth $58.1 billion, while exports totaled $24.1 billion. Thus, imports exceeded exports by more than twofold.

Taxable imports reached $40.9 billion during this period. China was the largest source of imports, with Ukraine purchasing $16.8 billion worth of goods. Poland ranked second at $5.5 billion, followed by Germany, from which $3.8 billion worth of products were imported.

At the same time, Poland became the largest buyer of Ukrainian goods, purchasing $2.8 billion worth. The top three export markets also included Türkiye ($2 billion) and Germany ($1.5 billion). Poland therefore remains Ukraine’s key trading partner in both directions.

Machinery, equipment and transport accounted for the largest share of imports, at $25.7 billion. Fuel and energy products ranked second at $8.5 billion, followed by chemical industry products at $8 billion. Together, these three categories accounted for 73% of all imports.

At the same time, fuel generated the largest amount of customs revenue for the state budget — UAH 172.7 billion, or 34% of all import duties and taxes. Machinery and transport generated UAH 145.5 billion, while chemical products accounted for UAH 66.5 billion.

Exports have a completely different structure. Food products accounted for the largest share, at $14.1 billion out of total exports of $24.1 billion. They were followed by metals and metal products at $2.5 billion, as well as machinery, equipment and transport at $2.1 billion.

Food products accounted for more than half of all Ukrainian exports, once again demonstrating the importance of the agricultural sector to the country’s foreign-currency earnings even during the war.

Overall, during the first seven months of the year, exports subject to an export duty generated UAH 888.3 million in revenue for the state budget.

[9
["post-152037","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","newscat-novosti
["GET
