The funding will be used to finance the construction of two new wind farms with a combined capacity of 258 MW in the country&#8217;s southern and western regions, the bank said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"413\" data-end=\"755\">The financing will be provided to Elementum Energy, a UK-based renewable energy company owned by the U.S. investment firm VR Capital Group. The package includes an EBRD loan of up to \u20ac60 million, along with up to \u20ac10 million in additional concessional financing. The total cost of the project is estimated at \u20ac401 million.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"982\">According to the EBRD, its investment will form part of a broader financing package of up to \u20ac250 million, which will also include funding from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and other financial partners.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"1282\">The project \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438\u0432\u0430\u0435\u0442 the construction of two wind farms: the Southern Wind Farm, with a capacity of 58 MW, and the Western Wind Farm, with a capacity of 200 MW. The latter will also include the infrastructure required to connect the facility to Ukraine&#8217;s national power grid.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1475\">Once operational, the two wind farms are expected to generate approximately 730 GWh of electricity annually, helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 469,000 tonnes per year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1703\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Elementum Energy is one of the largest international investors in Ukraine&#8217;s renewable energy sector.
