The announcement was made by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to the Prime Minister, the financing will be directed toward the procurement of weapons, military equipment, and defense-related hardware for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The approved framework provides for the use of EU funds both to import military equipment and to directly finance contracts with Ukrainian defense manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Procurement will also be carried out through international organizations under their established procedures, a mechanism expected to accelerate the delivery of weapons and critical components.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Svyrydenko also announced the introduction of a comprehensive monitoring, auditing, and reporting system that will comply with EU requirements and ensure the transparent use of the funds.<\/p>\n<p>The Ukraine Support Loan agreement was signed and ratified at the end of May. The EU financial instrument is worth up to \u20ac90 billion, of which \u20ac60 billion has been allocated to support Ukraine&#8217;s defense needs.
