{"id":151776,"date":"2026-06-19T15:00:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T12:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=151776"},"modified":"2026-06-18T22:36:38","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T19:36:38","slug":"rheinmetall-znajshov-sposib-stvoryty-suverennu-kosmichnu-rozvidku-yevropy","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ldaily.ua\/en\/news\/rheinmetall-znajshov-sposib-stvoryty-suverennu-kosmichnu-rozvidku-yevropy\/","title":{"rendered":"Rheinmetall Finds a Way to Build Europe\u2019s Sovereign Space Intelligence Capability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Leading U.S. commercial satellite imagery provider Vantor and German defense manufacturer Rheinmetall have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint venture aimed at strengthening the sovereign intelligence capabilities of Germany and other European countries, the Financial Times reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to Vantor, the partnership with Rheinmetall will provide the German Armed Forces with sovereign control over intelligence data and enable European customers to directly operate Vantor\u2019s satellite constellation. The cooperation also includes the use of Raptor software, which supports drone navigation and targeting in environments where GPS signals are unavailable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger stated that the partnership with Vantor \u201clays the foundation for the creation of a sovereign European geospatial intelligence capability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Before signing the agreement, Rheinmetall reportedly required guarantees that all intellectual property rights would remain within Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The German defense group plans to leverage this cooperation in its bid for the Spock 2 satellite intelligence program.
