Fire Point is the developer and manufacturer of the FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile, which reportedly has a range of more than 3,000 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"646\" data-end=\"784\">Rauch stated that if a new product is developed, \u201cit makes a great deal of sense to manufacture it in Germany or other countries as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"878\">He added that Diehl Defence views the potential cooperation \u201coptimistically and positively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"1109\">The publication also noted that in April, Diehl Defence\u2014best known as the manufacturer of the IRIS-T air defense system\u2014and Fire Point signed a technology agreement, although details of the deal had not previously been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1383\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\u201cRauch said that Diehl could offer Fire Point a far more advanced seeker head\u2014the component that detects and guides a weapon toward its target.
